TCu/R-EP-90/GP-90-CPE is a submersible rubber power/control cable designed for harsh wet environments and underwater installations. It uses tinned copper Class 5 conductors with rubber insulation and a black CPE outer sheath, and is intended for flexible or fixed installation depending on bending radius rules. The datasheet is based on EN 50525-2-21 and generally based on IEC 60245-4, with compliance to Low Voltage and RoHS directives. Rated for 450/750 V (and up to 0.6/1 kV AC in protected static laying) and also listed as 600/1000 V per AS/NZS 5000.1

Benefits

  • Submersible performance suitable for installation down to 500 m depth.
  • Oil resistant outer sheath material per EN 50363-2-1.
  • UV resistant for outdoor exposure when using the black sheath.
  • Flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2.
  • Wide operating temperature range for both flexing and fixed installations.
  • Installation-friendly bending radius options for flexing and fixed applications depending on cable diameter.
  • Broad range of core counts and conductor sizes for many power and control configurations.

Technical Details

  • Reference standards: Based on EN 50525-2-21 and generally based on IEC 60245-4.
  • Conductor: fine strands of tinned annealed copper to IEC 60228 Class 5.
  • Insulation: EI4 to EN 50363-1 and R-EP-90 to AS/NZS 3808.
  • Core colours: 1-core white; 2-core brown/blue; 3-core brown/blue/green-yellow; 4-core brown/black/grey/green-yellow; 5-core blue/brown/black/grey/green-yellow; 6-core and above black numbered cores with green-yellow protective conductor.
  • Separator: single core may use wrapping tape; multicore uses talcum powder for ≤6 mm² and non-woven wrapping for ≥10 mm².
  • Outer sheath: EM2 to EN 50363-2-1 and GP-90-CPE to AS/NZS 3808.
  • Sheath colour: black (RAL 9005).
  • Rated voltage: 450/750 V; up to 0.6/1 kV AC in protected static laying (EN 50565-2); 600/1000 V per AS/NZS 5000.1.
  • Test voltage: 2.5 kV AC.
  • Temperature range: -25°C to +90°C (flexing) and -40°C to +90°C (fixed).
  • Minimum bending radius for flexing: 6x OD when OD ≤20 mm and 8x OD when OD >20 mm.
  • Minimum bending radius for fixed installation: 3x OD when OD ≤12 mm and 4x OD when OD >12 mm.
  • Flame retardant: IEC 60332-1-2.
  • Oil resistant: EN 50363-2-1.
  • UV resistant: EN 50525-1 (black sheath only).
  • Water submersion: submersible down to 500 m depths.
  • EC directives: 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage Directive) and 2011/65/EU (RoHS).
